Happy St Patrick's Day to all
I would like to thank all league players for a good season this year. I look forward to the annual tournament next week and pleased to see a large amount of non league guys sign up to play.
I would like to thank my VP Todd Moffatt and Secretary Martin Robinson and Treasurer Darin Brecht for their season long ongoing commitments to our league. Thank you also to all team captains and to our referees and their commitment to the spirit of the league which is safe, fun but competitive old guy hockey.
Running the tournament is a big job and it's one of the more important duties in the SOHL. Our new player recruitment relies on the success of our tournaments and I would like to thank long time tournament head co-ordinator Brent Belot. Brent couldn't pull it off without all of the tournament and tournament beer garden volunteers and thanks in 2024 to the following guys who have stepped up to help: Michael Bockstael, Kelly Martinussen, Michael Van Dam, Justin St Louis, Andre Lemoine, Doug Repay, Garry Laurin, Todd Moffatt, Trevor Kriss, Trent Simpson, Les Griffin, Paul Desmarais,Ken Akerstream, Troy Niblock, Kyle Stewart, Shawn McRae, Paul Cannizzaro, Dru Bayer, Dave Silver, Brian Andree, Luc Dube, Wally Ruban, Brian Gingera, Guy Bilodeau.
